Why do I “use” Twitter?
Some people use twitter just to broadcast their own information. I find (at least up to now) the most value in my time spent on Twitter, is actually reading the tweets of the amazing people i follow.
PLEASE, do yourself a favor and check out my #FF List & follow all of them!
Below are just two examples of real VALUE ADD from my stream.
When you see numbers like the ones BBY came out with earlier this week, & if you looked at them without thinking about other things that were happening with the company at the same time, you would panic. The stock pre-market on Tuesday (when they reported) traded down in a heartbeat by $2 or over 10%.
At 9:13AM the stock was trading at $16.40 per share when @Dasan tweeted the following tweet.
$BBY “kitchen sink” makes sense if you’re the new CEO, getting options struck.— Dasan (@Dasan) August 21, 2012
Don’t get me wrong, I know BBY is facing major structural challenges, but what do you think a new incoming CEO would do? Their “guide down”, and even items in the past quarter was as perfect time as ever to be a “kitchen sink” quarter.
New executives would want to lower the bar so that 1. They can beat the lowered numbers, & 2. The stock options that they’re going to receive as part as their new employment contract will have lower exercise prices.
Check out the chart of BBY after the tweet.
That’s what i call a value added tweet.
On Monday morning – at 11:25AM @TA_Trader tweeted:
SILVER JUST BROKE OUT….FOR REAL
$SI_F$SLV— TA_Trader (@TA_Trader) August 20, 2012
He then posted this on his blog - http://trader-ta.blogspot.com/2012/08/silver-is-loose.html
Check out the SI_F chart.
Enough said.
